Making ownership data actionable

Making ownership data actionable

How Zeus benefits from Holdings

How Zeus benefits from Holdings
As a leading independent financial services group in the UK, Zeus needed ownership insights they could trust and act on. With Holdings, Zeus can access sub-fund manager details, explore cross-holdings, and track buy-in history, all within one intuitive and time-saving platform. More granular and reliable data now gives Zeus sharper insights that support better decisions and stronger client outcomes.

What do you appreciate the most about Holdings?

The first thing that struck us was how user-friendly the platform is. The interface feels intuitive, making it simple to navigate and easy to find exactly the data I’m looking for. Instead of spending time digging or manually analysing data in Excel, we get clear and well-presented information right away in the platform.

That ease of use has been a real advantage for us, both in terms of saving time and in making ownership analysis more actionable.

Which functions have been especially valuable in
your work?

One of the most useful features for us is the ability to see sub-fund manager names and details. Understanding not just the fund, but also the individual portfolio manager behind it and what funds he or she manages adds an extra layer of insight.

We’ve also found the cross-holding function to be very valuable. Being able to clearly see connections across companies and sectors gives us a much better overview of where exposure lies and how different investors are positioned.

How do you work with ownership history and buy-in analysis?

The buy-in analysis and ownership history are tools we’ve come to rely on quite a lot. They allow us to see how ownership has developed over time and the estimated return with one click. The way the data is presented makes it easy to draw conclusions quickly.

Compared to our previous solution for ownership data, the presentation is much clearer and far more actionable. For example, we can easily spot when a shareholder has started building a position and how that has evolved, which helps us better understand investor behaviour and anticipate potential future moves.

How would you describe the data quality in Holdings?

For us, trust in the data is essential. We need this when presenting internally or using the data in discussions with e.g. corporates and institutions. Having that confidence makes a real difference — it allows us to focus on the analysis itself rather than worrying about whether the numbers are correct.

Combined with the platform’s user-friendliness, that quality and granularity of the data is truly what make Holdings such a strong tool for our line of work.
